Saturday Morning Open Doors
Every Saturday morning, the Joyce Sanctuary and parlor will be open from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. We offer a chance to see our historic building and stained glass windows, enjoy a cup of free trade coffee, enjoy free WI-FI, relax, breathe. Fellowship or quiet space for meditation.
Joyce Coffee Houses
Joyce Church opens its doors to the neighborhood for a special event once each month for fellowship and entertainment. On the specified day at 7 p.m. we welcome people into the parlor where there is always delicious organic coffee (from local roaster Morningstar) and fabulous treats (courtesy of Lucia’s Bakery) available. Beautiful artwork by our own Beth Joselyn adorns the walls, as well as sometimes being created then and there by her and any others who want to get their creative juices flowing. The evening always has some sort of presentational focus - music, lecture, puppetry, comedy - it runs the gamut of entertainment! We also try to facilitate discussion about the deeper spiritual aspects that spring from the experience of the event, the art, and the coming together of people. We live in such very interesting times; we hope to be a place of exploration for people, a place to come to terms with our world in a deeper way and, more specifically, to encourage spiritual growth for living on this planet.
